he Kybalion describes seven Hermetic principles, and the last one tends to make people uncomfortable before they've actually read it.
The Principle of Gender. And yes, it sounds like it's about sex or identity, so people either flinch or dismiss it. But the work sitting inside this principle is some of the quietest, most useful territory in all of manifestation practice.
Every Act of Creation Has Two Poles

The Hermetic teaching is this: everything that exists has both a generative and a receptive pole. Both are required for anything to come into being. The masculine principle, as the Kybalion describes it, is the directed, projective force, intention, will, concentrated mental energy. The feminine principle receives that projection, gestates it, and brings it forth into form.
This has nothing to do with the gender of the person practicing. The Kybalion is explicit: both principles operate within every human mind, regardless of anything else.
What it does mean for manifestation: you cannot create with only one pole active.
Most people trying to manifest are stuck in one or the other. Either they are all projection, pushing and forcing and affirming with gritted teeth, or they are all reception, passive and hoping, waiting for the universe to do something. Neither works on its own. The science layer here, and Joe Dispenza talks about this at length, is that the brain needs both the directed thought and the embodied feeling state to consolidate a new pattern. The masculine and feminine of it, in biological language.
What "Receptive" Actually Means in Practice
Here is where this principle gets interesting, friend.
Receptivity is not passivity. The womb is not passive. It is active in a completely different register, tending, providing the conditions, holding without forcing. When Neville Goddard wrote about "living in the wish fulfilled," he was describing the feminine principle in action: an inner state that has received the intention and is holding it as already accomplished, without grasping or straining.
The directed assumption is the masculine move. You decide what you are claiming. You plant it deliberately.
The sustained inner state of already-having is the feminine move. You stop trying to make it happen and start being someone in whose life it has.
And when those two things work together, something shifts. Ask anyone who has actually gotten quiet enough to feel it.
